Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plastic Commodities Trader to join our team. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for securing diverse supplies of scrap plastic commodities from the Waste Management and Recycling industry. Your expertise in commodity sales and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers will be crucial in achieving our mission.
About the Role
This is a sophisticated commodity trading role that requires collaboration with internal and external teams. You will own a market territory, focus on building mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, control material quality, and close deals constantly. Communication with global teams will be daily, requiring flexibility, hunger, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
* Utilize your research and business development experience to cold call and meet new suppliers to purchase quality scrap plastic.
* Follow internal procedures and policies (CRM, Admin, Trial Policies, Customer Onboarding).
* Grow into the role and contribute to Vanden's mission by expanding technical knowledge in all-around plastic.

Requirements
* Significant commodity sales experience based 'on the road', exceeding financial targets, and a track record in developing a high volume of new material from current and new suppliers.
* A successful track record in selling commodities or products in a fast-changing market.
* Experience in successfully managing existing accounts and hunting for new ones at the same time.
* A can-do entrepreneurial attitude with a high level of integrity.
* Strong ability to negotiate with customers maximizing margins and closing deals.
About the Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $70,000-$100,000, depending on experience and performance.
