Based in Melbourne, Australia, the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC) is an automotive industry employer association that protects and promotes the interests of its members through advocacy initiatives and the provision of automotive industry products and services. Founded in 1918, VACC provides access to a suite of support measures that assist members in running modern automotive businesses, including access to Australia’s largest automotive technical library, automotive‑specific advice, and assistance in human resources, workplace relations, OHS&E regulation training and compliance. VACC also employs more than 500 automotive apprentices through its group apprenticeship scheme.
About the Role
At VACC, this senior level leadership opportunity will play a pivotal role in strengthening the member experience, driving commercial growth, and leading the teams responsible for Member Services, Technical Advisory Support, MotorTech product performance and Commercial Sales. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Membership & Training, you will oversee the end‑to‑end member journey, optimise service delivery, and lead the customer service, technical advisory and product support teams. You will also drive commercial initiatives that enhance subscription growth, product uptake and member value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Member Services, Technical Advisory Support, MotorTech Product and Commercial Sales teams.
- Drive improvements in member satisfaction, engagement, retention and renewals.
- Oversee MotorTech product performance, roadmap development and market positioning.
- Deliver commercial sales strategies to achieve revenue and product growth targets.
- Use data, insights and CRM reporting to shape service, sales and product outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with members, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and develop your team through effective coaching, planning and performance management.

You are a strategic, member focused leader who knows how to deliver great service while driving growth across product, support and commercial areas. You bring strong people leadership capability and a commitment to creating a seamless, value driven member and customer experience that supports VACC’s overall growth and service objectives.
You Will Bring
- Leadership experience in membership based organisations, industry associations, or subscription led businesses.
- Experience leading customer/member service, product or commercial functions.
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth, retention and subscription based product performance.
- Strong people leadership capability across multidisciplinary teams.
- Analytical and data driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, technology enabled service platforms and digital products.
