Job Description

The Automation Engineer is responsible for improving operational efficiency, accelerating incident processes, proactively managing issues, and optimizing collaboration in cybersecurity, network, and infrastructure management services. Your role is to automate and optimize manual tasks that require time and resources swiftly to an automated system.

The Automation Engineer role requires a unique skill set and knowledge to handle complex challenges.

You will report to the Global Engineering Manager, Contracts Capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Design playbooks and integrations: Design software solutions that address needs according to engineering team requirements (security, network, infrastructure, personnel, analysts, operations teams), optimized processes consideration to reduce human effort, develop playbooks for early remediation of security alerts.
2. Operational efficiency improvement: Automate and orchestrate processes, integrate network, infrastructure & security tools. Create workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
3. Testing & Implementation: Testing & implementing automation flows, solution integration evaluation with existing systems, perform QA testing to ensure the effectiveness of developments.
4. Research and trend exploration: Exploring relevant automation advancements and new software engineering tools (threats undergo rapid evolution, giving rise to novel technologies like AI). Investigate and evaluate new technologies and approaches to enhance organizational security.
5. Collaboration support: Use information collected in the automation system to support strategic decision-making and preventive measures planning, help centralize management, collaborate with engineering & security teams by supporting playbook creation.

Experience and Education:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5 years of experience developing and using automation technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threats, attack techniques, and defense measures.
- Software development experience with skills in programming or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Bash.
- Experience in (not a must) - SIEM: Security Information Event Management/ TIP: Threat Intelligence Platform/ MISP: Malware information sharing platform / API: Application Programming Interface / ETL: Extraction, Transformation, Load data or Others.
- Ability to design and implement automation solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with other professional teams.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments.
- Understanding internal or external customer needs.
