Blind Squirrel Games (BSG) currently has studio locations in Irvine, California; Austin, Texas; Auckland, New Zealand, & an upcoming new studio in Manizales, Colombia

This is a full-time position based in Manizales, Colombia, with a full-time onsite requirement at the studio once established.
QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTERS AT BSG You've familiarized yourself with the ins-and-outs of game development through professional and/or independent work and are confident in your understanding of the QA pipeline.
You have a solid QA skillset but are ready to challenge yourself by starting to take on more responsibilities and larger projects within your specialization.
You may have worn a couple of different hats during your early years in the industry, but you've narrowed down your focus and are fixed on harnessing what you've learned and what you will learn to launch your career as a Quality Assurance Tester.
You are collaborative, open-minded, and have an overall pleasant disposition.
You can take direction and feedback, are not afraid to ask questions, and understand the value of autonomous work.
Role And Responsibilities Supported by the Senior and Lead QA staff, the Quality Assurance Tester will work alongside other talented developers to research, locate, replicate, and document bugs to ensure an enjoyable experience for the player.
Responsibilities Executing test plans on pre-release versions of software Assessing product functionality against design documents Researching and documenting software issues Generating software bug reports that detail the issue in a concise and accurate manner Collaborating with QA team members and other developers to ensure quality and fun Provide feedback on features in development Perform daily tests and responsibility for quality and stability of new game content, new features and upcoming releases Verify fixes applied by developers (bug regression) Contribute to and help maintain a project bug database Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned to help complete company or department objectives Qualifications And Education Requirements 2+ years' experience as a quality assurance tester Previous experience in game development or quality assurance role Must be local to Irvine, CA Must be authorized to work in the US Preferred Skills Experience with SCRUM and Agile development Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) Strong attention to detail, analytical eye, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently Passion for games and delivering quality products Capacity to multitask and prioritize Familiar with contemporary engines, platforms, and devkits Knowledge of Adobe/Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with the game development cycle and methodologies PLUSES Experience working on AAA titles Embedded development QA experience Experience working with external teams Experience in programming or scripting languages Experience with a Game Development Engine Bachelor's Degree Blind Squirrel Entertainment, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
