**The ADS Team**
Rappi’s Restaurant Ad product kicked-off in the second half of 2020, the Ads product currently serves on a monthly basis thousands of restaurant Brands. During 2021 the Ads team will build new product versions to scale even more.
The platform and App Ad space is fueling a new disruption in the marketing industry as Ad investments not only allow for a targeted audience reach but also track complete funnel data.

We are hiring the most talented engineers in Latin America and we want you to join them. Working in Technology at Rappi Pay is not about fixing legacy systems. It is about building world-class products from the ground up that will be used by millions.
We are looking for a Data Engineer who will be responsible for building, improving and maintaining a scalable data pipeline infrastructure required for extraction, transformation, and loading of terabytes of data from thousands of sources to our analytics platform.
You will be working with a skilled group of international tech specialists, on a high pressure hard-work environment.
**Responsabilities**:
- Improve existing structures by adding new functionalities or proposing technological updates so that as a result, the impact of your contribution is significant in the core of the business.
- The result of your work will also allow you to improve the user experience on scalable and high availability platforms, contributing to the key differential of each business.
- Build and maintain the ETLs from Production to the analytics platform.
- Build and maintain Datalake / DW and Datamarts for the different use cases.
- Make the right data accessible in the right way to the different groups of users.
- Strive to get everything working on automatic ways.
- Investigate and test new technologies that could improve our processes.
**Who you are**:
- You have at least 5 years of experience as backend developer, deliverying high quality level PR's, testable code, and adding features, in strong backend development environments.
- You have master or proficient level in at least 2 languages: Java, Python, Scala.
- You have at least 3 years in the same position or working with the tooling, challenges or frameworks related to big-data processing volume, distributed systems, and highly scalable designs from the get-go.
- You have 3 months on each one or 2 years all-together working with at least 4 of the following: Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, MongoDB, EMR, Redis, Solr, BigQuery, Parquet, Avro, and/or similar or their counterpart technology solutions in known cloud environments.
- You have experience working with restful services, APIs, debugging and troubleshotting command-line warrior level, deep understanding of parallelism, multi-threading, object oriented design.
- Desirable: strong background on distributed processing with Storm, Spark or similar.
