This position assists in the development and support of the execution of strategies designed to achieve financial objectives creating shareowner value. The incumbent conducts financial analyses to support the GBS function from a global perspective. This position supports the administration of value case analysis. This role monitors the GBS function’s initiatives within and outside of the monthly business plan and may supervise various positions.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversight of business plans to effectively plan functional initiatives
- Maintains financial models to determine and compare various cost drivers impacting variances to approved budgets
- Leverages financial and system knowledge and maintains Longview reporting system to support Hierarchy and account detail
- Conducts financial analysis to validate proposed initiatives provide anticipated NPV and ROIC.
- Establishes and cultivates internal relationships to support overall Operator’s cost control objectives
- Maintains open lines of communication with plan processing sites to troubleshoot processing errors and delays
- Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance
- Develop direct reports
- Creates business plans using historical data and forecasts to effectively plan district expenses and statistics.
- Provides information to the district to explain accounting transactions and resolve planning issues and discrepancies.
- Monitors hourly and management payroll processes to reduce errors and ensure proper payments.
- Follows up on payroll exceptions by contacting center teams to reduce high risk behaviors and potential overpayments.
- Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.
- Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
- Reviews audit work papers and changes to ensure compliance with new audit questions.
- Communicates with departments on the audit progress and reviews areas of concern to ensure timely audit completion.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such NPV and ROIC
- Conducts financial analyses
- Possesses knowledge of Longview planning and reporting tool
- Strong Office 365 skills including but not limited to Power BI
- Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proficiency in English language written and oral.
