**Who we are**:
Yunus Social Business (“YSB”) is a global social investment group with headquarters in Germany and country operations in India, Brazil, Colombia, Uganda and Kenya. YSB works on two fronts: the Philanthropic Venture Fund and the Corporate Innovation Initiative. It was founded by Nobel Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus, together with a team of social entrepreneurs and has a close relationship with the Grameen network of social businesses around the world.

YSB Colombia provides financing and strategic support to entrepreneurs and their Social Businesses throughout the country. As such, we focus on identifying, sourcing, investing and supporting successful entrepreneurs with socially impactful businesses to help them scale.

**Purpose of the position**:
The Investment Manager (“IM”) will be based in Bogota and work closely with the local team, as well as with members of the Global YSB team. The IM will actively participate in all aspects of the Investment Process and in some aspects of Portfolio Management

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify, source and evaluate potential investments, performing financial, operational, market,sector and strategic analysis.
- Participate in performing due diligence in connection with the YSB investment process, including benchmark and competitor analysis and social impact.
- Prepare and present relevant deal material of new investment opportunities to the Investment Committee (decision making body)
- Develop in depth research and analysis of key market trends and industry sectors that are relevant for YSBs investment process
- Support the team in specific aspects of portfolio management such as monitoring and reporting of portfolio companies’ performance
- Execute other duties and responsibilities, as required, to help ensure YSBs success

**Requirements and competences to work with us**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (eg. Industrial engineering, economics, finance, business)

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 6-8 years of business experience in impact investing, business consulting and/or finance, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital or strategic consulting
- Exposure to financial and operational due-diligence of ongoing businesses and/or
entrepreneurships in growth stage
Strong knowledge, experience and understanding of the Colombian social, economic and political context
- Experience working in emerging markets and understanding of local contexts
Ideally experience in or knowledge on social and/or environmental impact: methodologies, monitoring and measurement of impact
- Experience in developing financial models and information memoranda for potential investments

**Knowledge and skills**:

- Comfortable with building and manipulating financial models
- Strong understanding of social entrepreneurship, what it entails and how it is related to other concepts, (e.g. social innovation, inclusive business, impact investing)
- Fluent in written and oral English and Spanish

- Self-starter, proactive and with problem-solving skills
- A demonstrated commitment to serving society’s needs
- High level of personal integrity
- A high level of passion, entrepreneurial energy, personal initiative and responsibility
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative
