The USAID/OTI Colombia Program seeks to address emerging factors of instability through support to the Government of Colombia (GOC) and communities for robust peace accord implementation, thus helping to demonstrate that an integrated, comprehensive approach to the conflict also provides solutions to some of the country's biggest problems to include rural insecurity and illicit economies. Implicit in this approach is support to the GOC in understanding the unique post
- accord drivers of instability and support for piloting innovative solutions. The program will also focus on increasing the capacity and co-responsibility of both GOC and community actors for accord implementation.

**Please note: Only Colombian citizens are eligible for this position.**

**Position Summary**:
Th Reconciliations Consultant will be responsible for supporting the reconciliation process of all purchases made at the national level within each activity and keeping each of the areas that participate in the process informed about the progress of each one of them. The position will be under a services contract for two months.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile payments for purchases made by the purchasing area compared to the payment report generated by finances for such activity.
- Verify the documentation in each electronic folder for each purchasing process within each activity.
- Report each reconciliation to the Purchasing Specialist, Grants Specialist, and Grants Manager.

El Programa USAID/OTI Colombia tiene como objetivo abordar los factores emergentes de inestabilidad a través del apoyo al Gobierno de Colombia (GDC) y las comunidades para la implementación sólida de los acuerdos de paz, ayudando así a demostrar que un enfoque integrado e integral del conflicto también proporciona soluciones a algunos de los mayores problemas del país como inseguridad rural y economías ilícitas. Implícito en este enfoque está el apoyo al Gobierno de Colombia para comprender los impulsores únicos de inestabilidad posteriores al acuerdo y el apoyo para la puesta a prueba de soluciones innovadoras. El programa también se enfocará en aumentar la capacidad y corresponsabilidad tanto de los actores comunitarios como de los actores comunitarios para la implementación del acuerdo.

**Resumen de la consultoría**:
Esta consultoría es responsable de apoyar el proceso de conciliación de todas las compras realizadas a nível nacional dentro de cada actividad, manteniendo informada a cada una de las áreas que participan en el proceso sobre el avance de cada una de ellas. Esta posición tendrá un contrato por prestación de servicios por dos meses.

**Responsabilidades**:

- Reconciliar los pagos de las compras hechas por el área de compras, comparado con el reporte de pagos generado por finanzas para tal actividad.
- Verificar la documentación en cada carpeta electrónica, para cada proceso de compras dentro de cada actividad.
- Reportar cada reconciliación al Especialista de Compras, a la Especialista de Subvenciones y Gerente de Subvenciones.

**Qualifications**:

- High School diploma is required. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in accounting preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in reconciliation processes is required.
- Relationship-building skills.
- Oral and written communication and Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
