**Data Engineer**

Symphonic Distribution is a 100% independent music distribution and marketing company headquartered in downtown Tampa, FL and with offices in Brooklyn, Nashville, Denver, and Bogota, Colombia. We focus on distributing, promoting, and developing great independent music from artists, record labels, and many more. The **Data Engineer **will work remotely full time while being part of our **Colombia** location and will come with some really cool perks as well as ensuring that as an individual you have the proper work/life balance.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team who is passionate about building high quality products to delight and empower our users.

**What you will do //**
- Own the end-to-end data flow, from raw data to reports and charts
- Build and maintain data pipelines using a CI/CD approach
- Structure data with SQL transformations for use by web apps and BI dashboards
- Support our mission-critical analytics and royalty reporting systems
- Collaborate with Product on upcoming features
- Optimize data warehouse performance and cost

**What you need to have //**
- 5 years of experience working with big data
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes into a data warehouse
- Expert level SQL and data modeling skills, including star schemas
- Experience working with JSON stored in database tables
- Ability to tune queries, tables, and views for performance
- Comfort working as part of a partially distributed team

**What will set you apart //**
- Understanding of feature flags and CI/CD
- Familiarity with dbt and Snowflake
- Experience implementing data collection from public APIs
- Love for music
