**A Day in the Life
Lead and execute procurement processes and negotiations for Indirect Sourcing at a cluster or country level by ensuring compliance with local and global guidelines, meeting business unit’s needs, driving savings and building long-term relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

- Provides project management and sourcing expertise to cross-functional, cross-divisional commodity teams.
- Facilitates these teams in the development and execution of long-term strategies that will optimize Medtronic's position in terms of quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, and total cost.
- Mitigates risk, leverages technology and purchase power, improves processes and systems, and reduces overall cost of ownership and acquisition.
- Reporting and data analysis to facilitate decision-making processes.
- Negotiates, establishes, and monitors supplier agreements.
- Lead and execute procurement processes and negotiations (Both tactical and strategic) for cluster or country specific spend.
- Represent Indirect Supply Management function within the Cluster, supporting local management in meeting their needs at the most cost efficient and effective way, mitigating (supply) risk and ensuring compliance to applicable (corporate) requirements, processes and guidelines.
- Deliver cost savings.
- Co-develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans within the cluster/country.
- Drive supplier consolidation and define preferred suppliers together with the internal stakeholders.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, finances, international business, industrial engineering, or related areas.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in indirect sourcing in categories including facilities, supply chain, professional services, HR services, finance services, fleet, IT, outsourced services, consulting, among others.
- Working experience in multinational, national companies of high recognition.
- Knowledge in strategic sourcing methodology, P2P process, bidding tendering processes (RFI, RFQ, RFQ, auctions) and contract implementation process.
- Advanced English level.
- Knowledge in SAP/Ariba.
- Effective communication to interact with multiple stakeholders/teams at any level.
- Strong negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Problem solving and team player.
- Innovative, passionate, and able to inspire people at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain supplier relationship by constant communication, solving key disputes, negotiating final commercial terms.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and collaborate across the team/organization.
- Strong influencer, independent thinker and strong planning/prioritization are critical to success.

**Nice to Have**
- Sourcing experience working in medical devices sector or related industries.
- Project management methodologies preferred.
- Data management tools and methodology desired (PowerBI, others). Portuguese.
