**Organizational Context**:
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (“the Federation”) is the world’s largest volunteer-based humanitarian network with 192 members National Societies. As part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, our work is guided by seven fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. The Secretariat of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ (IFRC) strives to ensure focus, clarity, and efficiency and accountability in all results. The Secretariat, headquartered in Geneva, has five decentralized regional offices: one of which is the Americas, guided by the Secretariat strategies for implementation and areas of focus that builds on the vision of strategy 2020. The IFRC Regional Office for the Americas is organized in two main blocks: 1) a group of service-based departments and geographical configurations of (i) Country Cluster Delegation (ii) Country Office(s), as well as the Deputy Regional Director, under the direct management of the Regional Director; and 2) six building blocks composed by (i) Partnerships and Resource Development, (ii) Policy, Strategy and Knowledge; (iii) Communication, (iv) Disaster and Crisis: Preparedness, Response, and Recovery, (v) Health and Care (that include WASH), (vi) Logistics, each of them led by the Deputy Regional Director. The position is primarily located in Colombia. The position reports directly to the Head of the Delegation
- Colombia. The NSD Membership services Coordinator, will fundamentally facilitate coordination and technical assistance within and between the Federation and the respective NS in this country.

**Job Purpose**:
Under the direction of the Head of Delegation
- Colombia, the National Society Development (NSD) Membership Services Coordinator serves to the National Society to support and /or guide them as needed to achieve the goals stated in the NSD Framework in line with the IFRC 2030 strategy. The post holder delivers overall coordination, strategic advice and coherence of country-based tailored NSD support to National Societies based on their priorities to improve performance and enable the NS to better meet the needs of vulnerable people, in line with the NSD Compact. The support he/she will directly or indirectly provide aims to assist the National Society in having the required capacities and capabilities for operational effectiveness across the country in line with its auxiliary status to public authorities in the humanitarian field, including inter-alia image, presence, financial sustainability, and human resources.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
Built upon the Strategy 2030, the Agenda for Renewal, and the NSD COMPACT, the NSD Membership services Coordinator will provide technical support and coordinate the services provided to NS by the team under his/her charge. Strategic Coordination: - Provide regular strategic overview on NSD, Membership services to the IFRC management (Head of Delegation and ARO Technical lead) and monitor progress
- Mobilise the human and financial resources required for the organisational and volunteering development programs and initiatives. - Ensure sound management of direct line reports and sound planning and management for areas under his/her responsibility. - Promote integrated approach to organisational development with programs/projects, services, and operations - Contribute, as a part of the IFRC global NSD practitioners’ team, to the quality development of the Federation-wide NSD initiatives - Support the Head of Delegation in the SMCC process with the Movements partners as required. - Guide, coordinate and manage staff and interns under his/her charge
