Primary Function
- The Energy Procurement Buyer will work with business stakeholders to build consensus and alignment for assigned sourcing projects, identify key stakeholders, achieving the plant budget, collaborate and advise internal customers to enable sourcing Energy required service levels (electricity, natural gas, water, GPL, Biomass or others similar) commodities at the best total cost while maximizing value and standard performance reports for the organization in Colombia and Peru.

- Establish, in collaboration the business and operations to define and implement an effective short and long term sourcing strategies for required goods and services to meet the saving targets.
- Maximize the strategic sourcing process and available team support to successfully negotiate with vendors and obtain best pricing, delivery, and favorable terms.
- Achieve procurement objectives and targets and ensure that all processes and negotiations are according to Ingredion policies and procedures.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are accomplished by the team and updated regularly in the system.
- Resolve contract differences/disputes with vendors. Obtain legal review and approval of contracts.
- Manage direct internal and external energy vendors to ensure that service meets standards.
- Cost estimation and monthly control. Purchases order issuing and adjustments to guarantee the lowest price deviation vs. goal.
- Understand cogeneration contract and identify the surplus of electricity generated in the factory in the cogeneration system, considering the costs and prices of purchases of electricity in the market and studying the feasibility of sales, in order to make it available to the concessionaires and to generate profit for the company.
- Monitor the availability of natural gas in the market, as well as in auctions offered by suppliers, analyzing the economic viability, aiming at the purchase option of the product, with the best cost.
- Monitor the availability of electricity in the market and its costs, analyzing the possibility of negotiation with the free market (suppliers), aiming at cost reduction and other supply options in relation to the captive energy market
- Coordinate with local stakeholders) execution of processes related to procurement of energy (PO, IR, invoice validation)
- Participate to the lobbying activity of energy intensive associations, consortia, establish Supply Relationship Management with suppliers & market, government and commissions in Colombia and Peru.
- Conduct regular cross-functional meetings to exchange information with key stakeholders, create synergies and ensure communication plan between all levels of the organization

- Maintain on-time delivery targets to ensure internal customer satisfaction
- Lead and execute projects identified in the targeted savings initiatives
- Negotiate and finalize contracts
- Work with team to have a high level of process automation and SAP contracts in order to ensure agility and process efficiency.
- Provide prompt resolution of Energy (electricity, natural gas or others similar) issues raised.
- Relationships and People
- Give to the employee the right feedback always when needed, create action plan and follow-up it on monthly basis.
- Keep a regular and clean communication with internal customers in order to anticipate needs or improvements.
- Maintain relationships with the vendor supply base at the local level
- Collaborate with global and regional category leads for opportunity identification, planning and execution of regional and global sourcing projects
- Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

- A minimum of 5 years of strong experience in the Energy Market
- Demonstrated experience with the Strategic Sourcing Process
- Strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized, and excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical and financial acumen - SAP & EXCEL
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to effectively lead/influence key stakeholders and motivate a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Language: English and Spanish
- Strong multitasking, time management and organizational abilities required.
- Adaptable, flexible and self-motivated leader.
- Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
