Result of Service

The consultancy consists of the following outputs being these non-limitative:

- Output 1. Methodological document which describes the process of obtaining information, data collection, construction of synthesis and analysis of the results of the geological components of the municipalities involved in the project. The document should include:
A step-by-step approach to the structural analysis of the area, including a detailed description of the tools and processes used to construct and consolidate the data necessary for a geological understanding of the area.
- Output 2. Technical document showing the analysis and geological characterization of the municipalities included in the project. The document should include:
1. Analysis, characterization and zoning of hazard and risk elements related to components such as: floods, mass removal, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other related aspects;
2. Development of specialized cartography showing the different geological hazards of the territory, related to: mass movements (landslides, rock falls, alluvium, etc.), floods (river erosion, drainage, subsidence, etc.), earthquakes, volcanic activity and any other relevant components to be included;
4. Analysis of existing human settlements and their relationship to geological components, including analysis and zoning of areas at risk;
5. Integration and articulation with the other risk management components involved in the project.
- Output 3: Technical document with guidelines, conclusions and recommendations for adequate risk management with respect to the geological components of the territory. The document should include:
1. Synthesis and conclusions of the analyses and studies developed from the geological components of the territory;
2. High level recommendations for risk mitigation from a geological analysis perspective for those zones located in vulnerable areas;
3. Recommendations for establishing an appropriate land use model;
4. Initial identification of strategic projects related to the geological components to minimize existing risk conditions.
- This deliverable must be presented in PDF and Word format.

**Responsibilities**:
a.) Information and validation:

- The consultant will be responsible for keeping the HUB Coordinator informed and having to obtain validation of his/her activities in the full project cycle.

b.) Development:

- Review and analysis of existing information at municipal level on the geological components of the territory.
- Analysis and characterization of the territory from the different geological components, analyzing hazard and risk variables.
- Coordination of the risk analyses carried out with the territorial planning policies, including an articulation with the preparation and/or updating of the Territorial Management Plans to be developed in the selected municipalities.
- Ensure appropriate articulation of the different outputs and components of the project with the other members of the team.
- Provide high-level technical support as required, both to the counterpart and to other members of the technical team.
- Preparation of a synthesis in which the results of the analyses carried out are summarized.
- Carry out the activities assigned by the HUB Coordination that correspond directly to the consultant's profile.
- Attend meetings, workshops and relevant spaces where their participation is required.
- Accompaniment in the coordination and consultation with the corresponding entities.
- Carry out knowledge transfer processes (workshops and trainings) to the multiple stakeholders involved.

c.) Approval:

- The consultant will be responsible for supporting compliance with project approval processes, as well as monitoring the development and implementation of programs and projects.
- Support the Hub Coordinator in the development of inputs for conceptual notes, project documents, implementation plans and budgets, and in general all the documentation necessary for internal approval of projects, following the provisions of the various manuals of procedures, internal regulations, and regular channels established by the Agency.

d.) Implementation:

- Attend the technical (virtual) meetings needed to meet the scopes and objectives defined for the consultancy.
- Provide information to UN-Habitat regarding affectations that the process of implementing the consultancy may have.
- Provide inputs for the systematization of the processes carried out and exchange of practices and successful experiences with other HUBs in the region, with headquarters branches, counterparties and who appoints the UN-Habitat HUB Coordinator for Andean countries.
- Follow up on technical guidelines determined by the Project Coordinator and Coordinator HUB Andean Countries.
- Comply with the schedule of activities according to the guidelines of the HUB Coordinator.
