As a **Senior Azure API Management Developer**, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex APIs using the Azure API Management platform. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect scalable and robust API solutions that meet business requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing API performance, implementing advanced security measures, and integrating APIs with diverse backend systems.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Lead the design and development of APIs using Azure API Management platform, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
2. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in API design, development, and troubleshooting.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and API designs.
4. Architect scalable and robust API solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.
7. Implement advanced security measures across APIs, including multi-factor authentication, role
- based access control, and encryption.
8. Optimize API performance through advanced techniques such as caching, asynchronous processing, and distributed tracing.
10. Monitor and troubleshoot complex API performance issues, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
11. Implement comprehensive logging and analytics to track API usage, performance metrics, and operational insights.
12. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate API deployment, configuration, and management processes.
13. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in API management and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.
14. Participate in architectural reviews and provide recommendations for enhancing the overall API ecosystem.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing APIs using Azure API Management or similar platforms.
3. Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices.
4. Expertise in authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
5. Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript.
6. Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
7. In-depth knowledge of API security standards and practices.
8. Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or OpenAPI.
9. Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
10. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and lead technical discussions.
11. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
12. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
1. Microsoft Azure certification in API Management or related field.
2. Experience with API gateway technologies other than Azure API Management, such as Apigee or AWS API Gateway.
4. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
6. Understanding of microservices architecture principles.
