**GENERAL CONTEXT OF THE POSITION**
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international independent medical-humanitarian organization, which offers assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Each individual working with MSF does it out of conviction and is ready to uphold the values and principles of MSF. The MSF movement is built around six operational directorates. MSF OCBA is one of those directorates. The operations are implemented by field teams and the mission coordination teams; together with the organizational units based in Barcelona and decentralized in Nairobi, Dakar and Amman. The field operations are guided and supported by 5 Operational Cells, the Emergency Unit and other departments supporting operations, including the HR Department.

Supervises: S/he coordinates the activity of e-learning officer and translators in charge of the translations

**GENERAL OBJECTIVES**
- The translation coordinator ensures the quality of the translation service included in TEMBO's optional services, through the follow-up of the different projects from their input to the planning and up to the delivery of the product.
- Responsible for the coordination of translation projects ensuring the efficiency of the process based on the quality standards of the service.
- Supports the head of production in the analysis of e-learning translation needs within the MSF movement to make proposals to develop the service offered (explore including translation into new languages, translation of other types of resources, improvements in translation efficiency...).
**MAIN FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**
- Support the Head of Production in analyzing translation demand, understanding partner requirements, and adopting a learner-centric approach for the project.
- Support to the production manager, in the study of opportunity and feasibility to support budgets and support the presentation of proposals for the acceptance of partners.
- Manage multiple translation projects concurrently, creating project plans, assigning tasks to translators and e-learning officers, and ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Ensure translation processes are efficient and lead to sustainable final products.
- Oversee the TEMBO optional services' network of translation providers, ensuring service consistency and resource viability.
- Collaborate closely with translators and language specialists to ensure high-quality translations, providing clear instructions and resolving linguistic or cultural challenges.
- Conduct thorough reviews of translated materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specific eLearning guidelines, providing feedback to improve content quality.
- Perform exhaustive monitoring of each project, ensuring adherence to deadlines, resources, and costs. Collaborate with the Head of Production and course owners to address any deviations.
- Manage content through organizing and maintaining a translation memory or glossary to ensure consistency across translated materials, streamlining future translation efforts and maintaining unified terminology.

**Experience**
- Project management experience, preferably related to e-learning and/ or translations, including demand analysis, resource planning, project tracking and delivery of high quality products.
- Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Basecamp or Trello).
- Operated Learning Management Systems, preferably Totara.
- Proficiency in SCORM, xAPI standards, authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline.
- Field MSF experience highly desired to guarantee learning content is adapted to MSF users.
- Command of English, French and/or Spanish and/or Arabic.
