**Project Coordinator**
**SoftwareOne Returnship Program**
**(SOAR)**
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our inaugural **Returnship Program (SOAR)** in **Project Coordination.**
This paid program is designed to provide support and integrate talented **professionals who have taken a career break back into the workforce for** the last 6 months as a minimum.**
As a SOAR participant, you will have the opportunity to refresh and enhance your skills while working on meaningful projects within our organization.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and coordinating project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager or the Customer Engagement Lead. (The project team may consist of i.e. Architects, Technical Consultants, analysts, SAM specialists etc.) The Project Coordinator will assist in monitoring the scope, time, budget and quality expectations, planning, controlling and monitoring projects aligned to the SoftwareONE Delivery Methodology.
- Coordinate and manage Project Manager activities.
- Taking minutes of meetings, scheduling calls, updating on project progress and status, following up on actions’ status, and assisting the Project lead with the updating of project documents.
- Contribute to the maturing and updating of Project Manager documentation.
- Actively participating in functional and non-functional training as directed
- Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and identifying work process improvements.
- Enhances department and organization reputation by performing assigned duties.
- Support Vertical teams/Internal Project Teams in the management of project functions.
- Develop and maintain Project management best practices.
- Support Project Manager resources (PMs / Sr.PMs)
What we need to see from you:
- A career/job break in the last 6 months as a minimum.
- Willing to take a 3-month temporary contract with the expectation to stay in the Company.
- Desire a career within Project Management and IT, and would like long-term employment with SoftwareOne.
- Desire to work in a consulting environment.
- No certification required, but should complete Prince2 foundation/ PMP 35 PDU Training by 1st year.
- Excellence in administration and back-office support.
- Good communication skills
- Excellent skills in task coordination
- Highly motivated and results oriented
- Where appropriate, attend meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
- Effectively and accurately monitor & communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
- Assist PM lead in tracking & managing Risks, Issues, and Change Requests
- Solid problem solving skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong business acumen.
