This role will act as the senior technical lead on the team supporting the continuous improvement of our data pipelines and systems, to empower our marketing team to deliver best in class marketing campaigns. **What you'll do**:
- Develop data capture, processing, storage, and distribution
- Translate marketing requirements into functional specifications
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Contribute to system architecture and propose new approaches
- Manage ETL data to and from Expedia Group entities to third-party solutions
- Develop scalable and highly-performant distributed systems
- Communicate and document solutions and design decisions
- Define and scope solutions for efficient scaling of marketing operations
**Must haves**:
- AWS: EC2, EventBridge, StepFunctions, AWS Batch, Lambdas, AppFlow
- CI-CD: Docker, Github, Spinnaker, Cloudformation (IaC)
- Languages: Python, SQL
- Data sources: Hive Database, API interaction
- Frameworks: Spark, Pandas
- Resiliency mindset, data processing patterns, security, compliance, data pipelines observability
- Performance and Tuning of Data Pipelines
- Client and stakeholder management
- Experience in mentoring teams in Data Patterns, best practices, and principles
- Team leadership
**It would be nice if you had**:
- Experience in Marktech, PHP, Java
- Marketo experience
