As an Accounting Auditor in our business consulting company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our client's financial records, processes, and controls.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform detailed audits of financial statements, general ledger entries, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to enhance internal controls and minimize financial risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans based on identified areas of concern, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and evaluate the financial processes, policies, and procedures of our client to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Analyze financial data, documents, and reports to identify discrepancies, irregularities, or fraud indicators, and communicate findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Operations, to provide guidance and support in implementing audit recommendations and resolving financial issues.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports tailored to our clients, clearly communicating audit findings, recommendations, and action plans to client management and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices specific to our clients' industries to ensure compliance and recommend necessary adjustments to financial policies and procedures.
- Conduct follow-up audits to track the implementation and effectiveness of audit recommendations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a major in accounting and auditing if not a chartered accountant and/or certified public accountant or equivalent qualification.
- Must have practical training with any good auditing and accounting firm and shall have practical experience in carrying out some audits at a senior level of some big or small businesses.
- Advance Excel Skills (Vlookup sum if, sum ifs, Hlookup, etc.)
- US GAAP Knowledge,
- Any global software knowledge such as Navision, Xero, Axapta, Oracle, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, assess controls, and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data and documents.
- Capable of developing and maintaining internal audit policies and procedures aligned with professional standards.
- Skilled in creating and implementing internal audit plans, introducing new audit programs, and ensuring financial/operational controls.
- Ability to conduct routine and surprise audits, physical stock-taking, and reconcile accounts.
- Familiarity with local, state, national, and international laws and regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Proficiency in planning and executing operational and financial procedures to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Understanding of internal audit controls and compliance in areas such as sales, purchases, inventory, receivables, payables, expenses/income, and payroll.
- Competence in developing and implementing compliance and substantive audit plan tests/procedures.
- Skills in prioritizing audits, analyzing financial data, and compiling reports with recommendations for management.
- Knowledge of auditing and accounting practices, including cash vs accruals, inventory valuation methods, and mark-ups/mark-downs.
- Ability to identify control weaknesses, recommend accounting system upgrades, and provide accurate audit information to management.
- Understanding of business risks, best audit practices, and implementation of internal controls.
- Responsible for mitigating operational and financial risks, overseeing risk-based audits, and ensuring compliance.
- Proficient in generally accepted accounting principles, conventions, and practices.
