This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the Enterprise & Employees Financial Services process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world.
Position Summary
The position will be part of the Bogota Capability Center organization. The Sr Analyst role should have strong HR or Finance operation experience focused of timeliness, accuracy, and compliance. As an Sr Analyst, you are responsible for consistently delivering assigned tasks and responsibilities for the Americas region. This role will also be responsible for review, validation and analysis of results and reports. You will also facilitate and have tactical responsibilities in the areas of Incident and Change management, Continuous Improvement initiatives, digital capabilities project deliverables and system upgrades. You will follow J&J Global Services tools, procedures, and guidelines in discharge of your day-to-day duties. Strong collaboration, adaptability and time-management are critical for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support process of accounting, payments, Time & Attendance, Long Term incentives, as part of Payroll.
- Perform checks, controls, variance analysis and reconciliations during pre-payroll processing and before payroll is finalized.
- Serve as a Payroll support for the different phases of the project like testing, data management, process documentation etc.
- Provide expertise on payroll calculation process with third-party payroll provider.
- Supports multi-country payroll to have an effective operational model in compliance with company policies as well as statutory and legal requirements.
- Ability to perform reporting and remittances such as month end, quarter end and year end payroll returns.
- Ability to perform reporting and reconciliation.
- Executes, in accordance with globally established standards, processes for SOX compliance, internal controls, and required regulatory/statutory requirements (including payroll record data maintenance).
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, data protection assurance, conformity with J&J policies, procedures, external regulations, and agencies.
- Updates and maintains payroll process and administration documentation.
- Identifies and raises continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
- Supports cross-functional projects with payroll dependency.
- Supports and resolves payroll related inquiries.

- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of prior experience in Payroll or HR operation is required.
- Strong Knowledge of payroll NAM (US, Canada, Puerto Rico) or Brazil processing (processes, regulations, vendor landscape, etc.).
- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills is required for NAM roles
- Strong Portuguese language verbal and written communication skills is required for LATAM roles
- Prior experience leading a team as an SME or team lead and demonstrable ability to motivate and manage a team is preferred.
- Payroll certification is preferred (e.g. CPP, FPC)
- Research and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to execute tactically, quickly adapt to situations, and address day-to-day operational challenges with mínimal supervision.
- Cultural awareness and an ability to work with a multitude of people across multiple markets assigned.
- Prior experience with deployment or implementation projects is preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience with the Leading Third-Party Payroll Providers (ADP, NGA, SDWorx, etc.
- Prior experience in a multi-national company, and/or experience in Finance/HR Share
