The Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the end to end accounting and reporting for US and statutory financial statements for a defined set of legal entities in Colombia. Responsible for the identification and mitigation of strategic tax risks establishing processes to ensure sustainable compliance with local tax regulations; proactively managing accounting processes and routines to ensure compliance with US GAAP and local accounting regulations as well as company accounting policies. The Accounting Supervisor has an important role in Responsible for the budget planning and supports Colombia and Controller by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

This position is part of Colombia´s Finance department located in Bogotá. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to tirelessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be part of the Financial team and report to the Controller

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Ensure the correct registration of all financial transactions.
- Prepare the financial statements according to the local regulations aplicable in Colombia.
- Key contact in External Audit Process.
- Preparation and revision of the local tax returns (IVA/ICA/Retenfuente)
- Responsible for the submission of local information to government. (Super Sociedades, DANE, DIAN)
- Accounting validation for payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare the accounts reconciliations of the BS and uploaded in Blackline.
- Prepare and review the working papers for the month end related to the BS and P&L
- Collaborate in forecast update process for Life Sciencie bussines unit.
- Supervise, review, and validate the activities make by the finance team related to AP, AR, Treasury, others.
- Provide Support to the Finance manager in special projects required.

**Essential job requirements include**:

- Bachelor’s in finance, accounting or equivalent
- Proved experience by attending and leading external audits
- Big Four Experience is a differential
- Strong knowledge of local Accounting standards and US GAAP
- Tax legislation knowledge
- Solid presentation/communication skills (both oral and written)
- Excel advanced knowledge
- Advanced English
- Strong Leadership skills / Team Builder
- Organized and able to handle multi-tasks. Responsible to comply with deadlines. Good interpersonal relationship, initiative, logic thinking, dynamic.
