Sr. Accountant

**Job Summary**:
**Principal processes to oversee**:

- Taxation reports and declaration
- Audit control
- Accounting (Payable and recivable)
- Payroll (Theoretical knowledge)

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the preparation and filing of all required tax returns in compliance with the Colombian tax laws and regulations
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for the Colombian market
- Conduct regular reviews of financial data to ensure compliance with Colombian accounting standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounting transactions and activities
- Provide guidance and support to other stakeholders of the accounting process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Colombia tax and accounting regulations and ensure compliance with all new laws and regulations
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data and information
- Prepare and enter accounting entries into accounting software
- Maintain and update company chart of accounts
- Maintain fixed assets register
- Provide recommendations to the management team to improve accounting data workflow
- Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- 4 to 5 years of experience in taxation and accounting for Colombia
- Deep knowledge of Colombian tax laws and regulations
- Strong understanding of Colombian accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with local accounting software
- Fluency in English is required (B2+ or C1 level)

Pay: $3,500,000 - $4,500,000 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bogotá, Distrito Capital, Cundinamarca: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
