Editorial Designer

**This is a remote role based in Bogota, Colombia.**

**About the Role**: The Magazine Designer’s job incorporates graphic design and project management skills to convert magazine concepts to final pieces via creative thinking, design, and effective collaboration.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Concepts & Design**_
- Creates/designs all materials for magazine layouts based on concepts, content, and other relevant information from the Brand and/or Editorial departments.
- Produces multiple concepts (comps) for magazines to explore visual options and solutions effectively.
- Selects/assembles item color, font, layout, etc., according to magazine and brand specifications and standards.
- **Editing/Proofing Process**_
- Comfortable using InCopy for proofing as well as PDF’s.
- **Communication**_
- Communicates with the brand team regularly during magazine production for coordination, brainstorming, and discussion to ensure effective collaboration and an understanding of requirements.
- Communicates with the supervisor regarding workload updates and as necessary.
- **Schedule Adherence**_
- Adheres to magazine production schedule/deadlines by prioritizing and managing workload and communicating with brand teams as necessary.

**Job requirements**
- 5 years of magazine design experience
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite programs specifically InDesign & InCopy.
- Proficient with G Suite products (Gmail, Google Drive, Chat)
- Post-secondary education in design or similar field
- Fluency in English is a must

**Experience**:

- designing page layouts for magazines: 3 years (preferred)
- using InDesign and InCopy: 3 years (preferred)
