The Area Business Manager (ABM) is a territory manager, and its responsibility is to maximize sales performance and the development and execution of an effective account business plan following marketing and product strategy.

The ABM is expected to maximize territory sales performance by developing and executing an effective business plan. The ABM will effectively use resources provided by Biogen, analyze territory performance, define action plans, implement local marketing strategies, and organize programs as well as related efforts that will positively impact understanding of designated products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Achieving sales goals: Works toward the achievement of sales goals set by the organization; prioritizes activities that drive market share; applies marketing and business strategy/tactics to maximize sales outcomes.
- Business planning: Develops and executes a territory plan; analyzes data to identify viable opportunities; coordinates and utilizes available resources.
- Leveraging and coordinating resources: Takes lead role in mobilizing resources; uses resources in an innovative and impactful way; collaborates with internal teams and cross - functional partners to advance programs and initiatives.
- Closely tracks the progress of new patients starting treatment (as appropriate in the geography and according to law requirements/restrictions).
- Maintaining best-in-class knowledge: Demonstrates industry-leading understanding of disease state, products (Biogen and competition), clinical practices, market dynamics, and healthcare systems.
- Keeps timely documentation (e.g., expense reports, compliance-related, CRM system) and provides inputs required for planning and coordination. Ensure Performance of frequency of sales calls on designated customers in the territory; operates with a professional selling approach.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s in Science, Medicine, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant pharmaceutical/health care sales and promotion experience,
- Health Care System knowledge.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with English (written and spoken).
- Experience with Specialty Care.
- Proven and sustained track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals.
- Experience in high-cost therapies preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Master’s degree desirable.

**Ability to travel within designated territory in Medellin is required. Position will cover and travel in Eje Cafetero including but not limited to Armenia, Pereira, Manizales.**
