**Position**:Senior Tax Specialist

**City**:Bucaramanga (On site)

**Schedule**:Monday to friday from 9am to 6pm

**Remuneration**: $3'600.000 - 4'000.000

**Job description**:
The Senior Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulation compliance for client accounts. The Supervisor leads and develops a team focusing on accuracy, deadlines, and client relations. This position will be responsible for providing day-to-day execution and the management of various activities within the tax department as assigned.

**Responsabilities**:

- Perform payroll tax compliance functions which can include processing tax notices, client setups, monthly/quarter/annual filings, client services, POA's, state. registrations, and client onboarding.
- Communicate with tax agencies and clients to resolve issues with a focus on handling escalated issues.
- Analyze multi-state payroll tax data and perform calculations, ensuring that payroll information is reported accurately to federal, state, and local agencies.
- Responsible for providing team members with substantive, periodic feedback on performance through reviewing casework with a focus on team growth.
- Develop, recommend, and lead new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements and efficiency of the Payroll Tax functions.
- Research compliance issues and become a trusted resource to the team and clients.
- Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
- Review client Quarterly Wage and Tax Registers to ensure client information is recorded properly for W2 purposes.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and coworkers to preserve a quality customer service image.
- Assist Finance Manager with projects and team initiatives.
- Evaluate, train, manage, and mentor team members with their assigned tasks to foster exceptional levels of efficacy and engagement.
- Maintain hands-on knowledge of all processes, tasks, and technical aspects of the payroll tax positions within the team.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

**Education/Experience/Skills**:

- English B2 or superior.
- Payroll service provider experience preferred.
- PHR or CPP a plus.
- iSolved experience (big plus).
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proven ability to manage payroll tax compliance responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll tax filings and compliance.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of payroll and payroll taxing regulations.
- Knowledge of Federal and multi-state payroll tax laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to audit internal procedures, client needs and compliance regulations to implement highly efficient processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to act with integrity, be proactive with client needs, seek to continuously improve service, constantly focus on professional growth, and work collaboratively across departments.

**Salary**: $3,600,000 - $4,000,000 per month
