UX Writer

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write user-friendly content across multiple platforms and touchpoints that aligns with the client’s brand, values, and tone and meets business goals and industry best practices
- Evaluate new and existing content against accessibility and SEO best practices to ensure copy is optimized and inclusive
- Create copy guidelines that support the broader content strategy and user experience goals
- Supporting user research and analysis and understanding the needs and pain points of users, as well as their expectations for the product or service. This can be done through a variety of methods, such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing. The goal of this activity is to get a deep understanding of the users so that the UX writer can create content that meets their needs
- Writing clear, concise, and user-friendly copy, from button labels and error messages to help text and marketing materials. The copy should be easy to understand and use, and it should be consistent with the overall tone and style of the product or service
- Working with designers and developers to ensure that the copy is integrated seamlessly into the product collaborating to ensure that the copy is aligned with the visual design and that it is implemented in a way that is easy to use. The UX writer may also need to make changes to the copy based on feedback from the designers and developers
- Testing and iterating on the copy to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of users to get feedback on its clarity, usability, and overall effectiveness. The UX writer may need to make changes to the copy based on this feedback
- Staying up-to-date on the latest trends in UX writing and design keeping an eye on the latest trends in UX writing and design so that the UX writer can stay ahead of the curve and create content that is effective and engaging. The UX writer may also need to attend conferences and workshops to learn about new trends
- Provide editorial feedback to the project team and other writers
- Mentor other UX writers

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- B2 English
- At least 8 years of professional copywriting experience, either at an agency or in-house
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, UX, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience on user-focused digital product writing with a portfolio of UX-focused writing samples
- Experience in working on multi-disciplinary teams
- Comfortable working independently, managing your time, and meeting deadlines with appropriate support
- Ability to articulate the rationale behind your work, to teammates and stakeholders
- Comfortable collaborating with clients to understand their business and translate that into accessible, user-centered copy
- Well-versed with quantitative and qualitative data to guide editorial choices
- Comfortable defining editorial processes and workflows
- Familiar with content migration processes and working with development teams
