The **Marketplace AP Analyst** is responsible for general accounting duties including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of Accounts Payable accounts, and other accounting functions
**Responsabilities**
- Responsible for timely and accurate accounting and associated tasks
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other accounting functions.
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and adherence to company policies.
- Execute 3-way matches on invoices linked to Purchase Orders
- Perform new sellers setups, including collecting data for the onboarding
- Prepares AP account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts, understands the nature of the balances, follows up on open items, and fixes any discrepancies
- Provide accurate financial documentation, miscellaneous reporting, and frequent engagement with the audit team in support of the yearly audit
- Prepares analyses and responds to routine questions from internal clients. Assists with information requests, historical information, and other business and financial needs
- Prepares ad hoc reporting to upper management upon request
- Maintain documentation and records related to accounts payable activities
- Contribute to departmental automation and process improvement projects
- Develops good working knowledge of accounting systems and assist with suggestions to improve or streamline areas
**Required Skills**:
- 3+ years experience in accounts payable accounts analysis.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets/Microsoft Office Excel (Exclusive).
- English knowledge (oral and written).
- Analytical view over the assigned tasks.
- Experienced in providing variance explanation.
- Understanding of the full accounting cycle.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Valued Skills**:
- BI tools experience
- BrightPearl and Mirakl experience is a plus
- Highly organized and able to pay close attention to detail
- Experience in audit firm (Big4) is a plus
