Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an Engineer Intern or entry-level role and it could be an opportunity to join us. You will have the opportunity to be part of our Kiwibot U Startup Program, a 4 to 6-month international program that seeks to empower young Colombian talent and allow them to have their first work experience in a tech startup. You will have the chance to know Kiwibot inside out and experience the real tech startup environment through intensive training and exposure.

Location: Medellín, the United States, the Middle East, or Asia.

The program is a theoretical-practical (20/80) experience in which you will understand the primary traits needed to thrive in a fast-paced startup like Kiwibot. It is divided like this:

- Introduction to Kiwibot and training (1-3 weeks)
- On-field intensive training (15-20 weeks)
- Experience debriefing (1-3 weeks)
- Time off (according to Colombian labor law)

The exact duration of each section is an estimate and can change during the curse of the program.

**Requirements**:
As a Maintenance Technician, a typical day might include the following:

- Deployment process.
- Fleet maintenance.
- Repair parts.
- Electronic device welding.
- Debugging parts.
- Document Known issues.
- Support the robots test.
- Being comfortable with addressing frequent product changes.
- Understanding limitations in our technology.
- Frequently coming across unknowns.
- Managing constant change and sudden growth.

This job might be the right one for you if:

- Have a Valid US VISA.
- Legally eligible to work in Colombia.
- Proficient English level (B2, C1)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronic, and Biomedical Engineering.
- Hand soldering and rework experience are highly desirable.
- Electronic testing skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience in debugging and resolving hardware and software issues.

You might also have:

- Some electronics design experience is preferred with the ability to review and understand schematics and electronic board layout designs.
- Spanish language skills (we are a Latin America start-up)
- Experience starting or scaling a successful startup.
- Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
- Problem-Solving attitude and experience.
- Collaborating with other engineers and professionals.
