The customer service associate/order handler will provide superior service to our internal and external customers in for the Service Division and specifically in the Service Center Orders.

They will focus in responding to the internal and external customers by creating and following up on the orders. The order hander will be responsible for ensuring the process of handling and delivery to the final client is efficient and effective and follows the Alfa Laval processes and corporate governance.

The customer service associate will use multiple web-based order and design systems to process and manage orders from receipt of booking package through invoicing. The order handler will also be expected to perform independent reviews, interpret and understand commercial purchase orders, commercial order forms, line waivers, freight documentation and other commercial order documents. The customer service associate will also be responsible for inventory tracking in the service center.

Technical knowledge:

- Knowledge of International transport processes
- Knowledge of Incoterms
- Knowledge of import and export procedures
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PP etc)
- Intermediate/Advanced English language proficiency, a plus
- Working knowledge of commercial terms

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service and/or order management positions with responsibilities for imports and exports with a high sense of customer service focus. Experience in customer service in a technical sales environment.

Competencies: Strong customer service orientation with project coordination skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneaously. Capable to work in a hands on environment, team working, resilience, work independently in a high pressure environment, dynamic and capable of adapting to different situations. Customer Service oriented, capable of working independently, goal oriented. Strong problem resolution skills. Ability to maintain working relationships in a fast paced environment. Ability to effectively deal with multiple time sensitive customer requests.
