**The Position**
- Support all accounting operations guaranteeing local legal compliance and accurate and on-time payments to the different entities and stakeholders. The accountant is expected to deliver complete reports and information about all types of financial processes and ensure correct record-keeping.

**Responsibilities**:

- 1. Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies
- 2. Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and garnishments
- 3. Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
- 4. Process benefit costs, like insurance fees and sick leaves
- 5. Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
- 6. Report to management on payroll issues and changes
- 7. Answer employees’ questions about salaries and tax
- 8. Stay up-to-date on payroll and tax laws
- 9. Support the onboarding process with social security affiliations.
- 10. Manage petty cash expenses, reports and expenses legalization.
- 11. Manage vendors payments, audit paperwork and approve transactions.
- 12. Reconcile credit card expenses and generate monthly reports.
- 13. Prepare reports upon request.

**Requirements**:

- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
- Work with legislation: Ability to understand the language of regulatory documents and their changes and effective dates.
- Documentation: Ability to work correctly with existing forms of documents (according to a sample).
- Reporting: Ability to compile and analyze information to prepare PE reports, to submit an updated PE report.
- Interaction with regulatory authorities: Ability to issue standard requests and receive standard documents from authorities.
- Complexity of business communication: Communication with peers and team members
- Self-management: Ability to organize own work schedule with use of planning tools and meet deadlines; to make independent decisions on routine issues; to clearly describe an unusual issue to colleagues in order to get a solution.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify unwanted situations, analyze factors that contribute to it and present results to colleagues in order to have workable solutions.
- Tools: General knowledge and ability to work with MS Word & Excel. Nice to have general knowledge in Ilimitada system.
- Payroll and social security legal compliance in Colombia.
- Taxes calculation and legal compliance in Colombia
