We are looking to hire a **Release**/DevOps** Engineer** who will support the Release/DevOps team within Telesign as we build a highly virtualized and distributed transaction processing platform. The release team, working in conjunction with development and systems administration team, employs an Agile DevOps oriented approach to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of deployment of Telesign's products and infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**
- You will be the go-to person for all things build related and the key representative for the development teams for Telesign's software releases
- Work closely with the Development and Operations teams to make Telesign's releases as smooth as possible
- Facilitate and support the release process from development through production
- Monitor and administer the automated build and continuous integration process (Jenkins) to ensure correct build execution, and facilitate resolution of build failures
- Develop and maintain documentation of the build/release process
- Work as part of a virtual team moving Telesign to a continuous delivery capability through use of microservices, containerization and orchestration.
- Investigate tools that may speed up the process or make us more efficient in build and release management
- Ensure Telesign's service levels are met through highly available and redundant infrastructure
- Work with Telesign security and network teams to ensure the security and integrity of our services
- Provide technical support to Engineering, Customer Success and other organizations as needed
- Manage personal workload through internal ticketing system and provide regular status updates

**Essential Requirements**
- 3+ years' experience with DevOps automation configuration management and orchestration tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker)
- 3+ years in systems administration experience in building and supporting virtualized Linux systems using cloud-based services in a highly available service-oriented architecture
- Strong knowledge of Linux and bash scripting
- Knowledge of some programming language (Python, C++, Java)
- Basic knowledge of some non-relational databases (Redis, Elasticsearch)
- Proficiency with Observability tools (Grafana, ELK, PagerDuty, Icinga, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
- Good SQL and database skills
- Understanding of development best practices and standards (design patterns, coding standards, etc.)
- A solid grounding in version control and experience working with a team using Git
- Solid understanding of basic networking design and principals (VLANs, IPSec, and load balancing)
- Knowledge of basic Linux system administration tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
- Capable of multitasking, prioritize multiple assignments, work with managers and team leads to delegate tasks to peers perform research independently
- Must be a self-learner with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to speak and write clear English in order to facilitate clear, unambiguous communications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
