As a Business Inteligence Developer, your daily interactions may include database architecture, engineering, design, optimization, security, and administration; as well as data modeling, big data development, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, storage engineering, data warehousing, data provisioning and other similar roles. Responsibilities may include Platform-as-a-Service and Cloud solution with a focus on data stores and associated eco systems. Duties may include management of design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, ensuring strict data quality, and performing needs assessments. Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors to understand the potential architectural impact of different vendor strategies and data acquisition. May design schemas, write SQL or other data markup scripting and helps to support development of Analytics and Applications that build on top of data. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders including business partners, SMEs, and BAs to build new dashboards and performance reporting to monitor and improve business performance.
- Interact with internal customers to effectively design, implement, operationalize and document reporting that accurately captures business requirements.
- Manage implementation of reporting enhancements and changes.
- Support ad hoc data reporting and data analysis.
- Communicate with various functional areas and translate technical concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Develop new processes using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Leverage new technologies to drive innovation in BI & Analytics Able to effectively work in a matrixed organization, aligning and developing an outstanding relationship with the IT and business partners.

**Required Skills**:

- 3+ years of work experience as a Business Intelligence Developer
- Proven experience performing significant data analysis (e.g. SQL, Oracle, Databases) and report development
- Experience with data integration (e.g. SSIS, Databricks, etc.)
- Experience identifying problems, utilizing critical thinking, performing analysis and making recommendations/decisions on the best course of action to remediate
- Experience working with large data sets, analyzing data, extracting relevant information, and produce user-friendly reporting capabilities
- Knowledge of relational databases, database structures and design, systems design, data management, data warehouse
- Proven ability to lead Business Intelligence projects
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

**Good to Have Skills**:

- Experience with Data Visualization / Dashboard tools (e.g. Power BI, SSRS)
- Experience working with healthcare analytical products or datasets
- Experience with product management within a matrix organization
- Understanding of cloud-based data platforms, Azure & Snowflake
- Foundation in SDLC methodologies - Agile and SCRUM
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and listening skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in writing and orally to individuals and groups
