Latin America Outside Sales Manager

We have an opening for a full-time traveling outside sales manager covering Latin America in the wastewater process industry.

SSI is a leading international manufacturer of wastewater treatment plants and equipment. We are market leaders in aeration, and growing rapidly in the fixed-film process, including MBBR and IFAS systems. Our major clients include Fortune 500 companies, public utilities, contract operators, and distributors. The company is headquartered in Poughkeepsie, NY and has offices, production and storage facilities located worldwide.

You will work from a home office, or a small office can be arranged. This is a mature market for aeration products for the company, so you will service, train and support the existing client base. But you will also need to grow the business, to develop partnerships with contractors and OEM's, and to develop specifications for large projects with consultants and municipalities, and then bid these projects to win. You will also be responsible for developing the fixed-film process business throughout the region for the company.

You should have an engineering or science degree, and have worked for 3-5 years in the wastewater industry and be fluent in Spanish and English. Portugese skills would be a plus. You should be easy to get along with, have kept good relations with your former colleagues, and be technology savvy. We use proprietary cloud based software to share work and updates with our colleagues.

Compensation is competitive, with base plus commission.
