**POSITION DETAILS**:

**REPORTS TO**: VP of Software Engineering

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team. You'll collaborate with product managers and your fellow engineers to research, design, implement, test, and deploy new software products and features using agile methodologies. Work with the latest in event driven architectures (Kafka) and cloud native deployments (Kubernetes) at scale. Learn and grow alongside our diverse and talented software engineering team.

**YOUR DAY-TO-DAY**:

- Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of new features and improvements.
- Resolve blockers, assess inter-team dependencies, and take ownership of delivery.
- Monitor software performance and proactively identify problem areas.
- Continually refactor codebase to improve maintainability.
- Write automated unit, integration, and browser tests.
- Mentor Junior Engineers.
- Other duties as assigned.

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM**:

- Expert in technical solutioning/ideation in collaboration with Product.
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience with highly available production systems (> 99.99% up time).
- 5+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.
- 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience building APIs and integrations.
- Prior React.js experience is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with scrum/agile development methodologies.
- Bonus points for Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, or React.JS.
