**Flight Itinerary (About The Role)**:
You're the guardian of quality, ensuring every API meets its functional promises. As a QA Specialist, you'll focus on designing and executing tests to validate the functionality and logic of APIs. Your keen eye for detail and deep understanding of business requirements will ensure the APIs are robust and reliable.

Serás también el guardián de la calidad, asegurándote de que cada API cumple sus promesas funcionales. Como especialista en control de calidad, te centrarás en diseñar y ejecutar pruebas para validar la funcionalidad y la lógica de las API. Tu gran ojo para el detalle y tu profundo conocimiento de los requisitos empresariales garantizarán que las API sean sólidas y fiables.

**What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)**:

- Test case design
- Manual / Automated test case execution and result analysis
- Report generation based on results to determine % of readiness
- Develop procedures to determine product quality
- Estimate QA projects effort and tasks
- Design and execute functional API tests to validate endpoints meet acceptance criteria and business logic.
- Develop and maintain reusable automated test scripts in JMeter for continuous API validation.
- Document and report defects clearly to facilitate resolution by the development team.
- Collaborate with developers and Product Owners to refine acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conduct robust regression testing and integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Perform and analyze performance tests to ensure API scalability and stability, identifying bottlenecks and improvement areas.
- Enhance testing processes and tools while staying updated on QA best practices and methodologies.
- Communication with product owner and development team

- Diseñar y ejecutar pruebas funcionales de API para validar que los puntos finales cumplen los criterios de aceptación y la lógica empresarial.
- Desarrollar y mantener scripts de pruebas automatizadas reutilizables en JMeter para la validación continua de la API.
- Documentar e informar claramente de los defectos para facilitar su resolución por parte del equipo de desarrollo.
- Colaborar con los desarrolladores y Product Owners para perfeccionar los criterios de aceptación y garantizar una cobertura completa de las pruebas.
- Realizar pruebas de regresión sólidas e integrar las pruebas en la canalización CI/CD.
- Realizar y analizar pruebas de rendimiento para garantizar la escalabilidad y estabilidad de la API, identificando cuellos de botella y áreas de mejora.
- Mejorar los procesos y las herramientas de prueba y mantenerse al día sobre las mejores prácticas y metodologías de control de calidad.
- Comunicación con el propietario del producto y el equipo de desarrollo

- Knowledge on different testing procedures like functional, regression or acceptance
- Usage of reporting and ticketing tools like Jira or Azure DevOps Boards
- Knowledge in estimation for QA projects and tasks
- Knowledge in test case design.

- English reading and writing skills
- Office Package: Excel, Word and Outlook

- 3+ years of experience in API testing with a focus on functional testing.
