**Now, about the opportunity**: A critical role for MediaMonks is a Brand Strategist Sr. (**Planner**). In this role, you will serve as lead on two named accounts to identify opportunities for strategic partnership and client growth, partnering with client teams, creative partners, account leads and others to help clients achieve their business objectives with thoughtful marketing programs and impactful creative campaigns. This is a key role and unique career opportunity to lead transformational business and cultural change across two partners, while breaking the status quo in the market.
**In this role you will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities in the following areas**:
**BRAND STRATEGY**
- Serve as the strategic lead on named accounts, collaborate and integrate with other partner agencies, keep a pulse on the client's industry, consumer trends, and behaviors, and provide strategic resources, approaches, and thought leadership.
- Support client's initiatives on an as-needed basis with appropriate strategic insight.
- Provide executive-level documents on overall strategy and communications and social plans.
- Develop strategic concepts that will translate across channels and lines of business to position the clients brands and drive business results.
- Deliver timely proactive recommendations regarding Agency POV about specific marketplace conditions and how each client could maximize/optimize opportunities and/or avoid problems, as well as regular external market reviews of "best in class" campaigns, tech innovations, new developments, etc.to help the development of future marketing efforts.
**RESEARCH**
- Develop and deliver appropriate target audiences and consumer insights to aid in message and media development.
- Leverage social media insights and all other data sources for strategy.
- Review, analyze and interpret research findings in order to fully optimize strategy.
- Collaborate with the client's research units to develop the process/methodology of tracking advertising effectiveness.
- Recommend and arrange for appropriate quantitative and qualitative research on an as-needed basis.
**CREATIVE STRATEGY**
- Aid the clients as needed with the refinement of brand and product messaging, and voice, and look for all executions.
- Develop creative briefing documents for appropriate projects; engage the clients and gain approval for assignment direction, key strategies, and support.
- Develop and provide appropriate information to assist in creative development: brand and product positioning statements, key messages, and claims, as needed.
- Facilitate the creative development process as needed.
**MUST HAVES**
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, a behavioral science field or retail-oriented marketing such as category/trade management, sales or shopper marketing.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
- 5+ years of experience within the disciplines of consumer, communications and/or brand strategy within an agency setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly and succinctly both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to run primary research, analyze results, interpret data, draw sound conclusions, and develop insightful and actionable recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and organization, demonstrated through actions such as effectively proofing own and others work to ensure accuracy both in English and Spanish.
- Actively and effectively managing timelines and deliverables of multiple projects and ad hoc requests simultaneously to meet predetermined deadlines.
