- The Shotfirer/Surveyor provides quality service to our customers in the design, delivery, loading and firing of bulk explosives in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.**What you will be doing**
- Key Accountabilities Ensures plant and equipment is in good order by regular inspection- Promptly reports all unsafe working conditions and accidents- Ensures minimum damage to the environment through waste minimization and control. ( Airblast, flyrock)- Actively participates in Safety Meetings, Tool Box Talks etc- Actively participates in Explosive Groups safety program including Take 5s, JSERAs and safe work practices- Controls the blasting process to meet all safety regulations, Site data sheet requirements,- Blast survey and loading design Pattern mark out including driller communication and blasthole deviation check,- Blast initiation design, Storage and transportation of explosives and Variance reporting- Takes responsibility for all persons under their direction, including non-Orica personal working on bench- Provides accurate blast summary sheets to customers- Provides accurate provision of IE issues logs and blast record job packs.- Maintains shotfiring/surveying equipment in a clean and presentable condition- Ensures products are produced in accordance with the correct manufacturing procedures as per CBT manuals- Ensures blast invoicing within 24 hours of blast being fired.- Ensures on bench equipment is maintained to provide high levels of service and replace faulty parts as required or instructed- Ensures full compliance to all SSOP's Ensures full compliance with Magazine management.**What you will bring**
- With tertiary or technical qualification - up to 2 years experience post qualification.
Without formal qualifications - up to 10 years of administrative experience, or allocation of work to operators.**How you shape and influence others**
