Patient Care Specialist role focusing on ensuring smooth operations and outstanding patient interactions across departments. Deliver a warm, friendly, and professional experience to every patient.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments and procedures
• Answer patient inquiries about basic medical tests and procedures
• Provide clear instructions to patients for exams and procedures
• Confirm appointments and manage incoming calls/messages
• Explain financial obligations and process payments
• Schedule referral appointments and follow-ups
• Verify insurance details and inform patients of uncovered fees
• File and manage patient documents accurately

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in customer service, reception, or a medical office/clinical setting
• Professional proficiency in English (speaking, writing, comprehension)
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and U.S. health insurance
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Great telephone etiquette and attention to detail
• Ability to build rapport with patients and work independently
