Organizational context: UNICEF Colombia operates in a complex, diverse, middle-income country facing significant disparities, compounded by conflict, migration, and climate change. The Country Programme Management Plan (CPMP) 2025–2028 employs a territorial approach, decentralizing support to reach vulnerable children. Resource mobilization from public and private donors is crucial for program implementation.

Job purpose: The Reporting Officer (Writer) is responsible for producing high-quality donor reports, funding proposals, and public partnership agreements for the UNICEF Colombia Country Office. This role ensures all written deliverables adhere to Results-Based Management (RBM) standards and align with UNICEF's strategic advocacy and resource mobilization priorities. Working closely with programmatic areas, the Emergency unit, Communications, and Private Sector Fundraising, the incumbent supports the Representative in managing and enhancing public partnerships. The position is key to ensuring effective communication of program achievements and securing necessary resources to support UNICEF's mission for children in Colombia.



Responsibilities:
The Reporting Officer (Writer) is accountable for the quality and timely submission of all donor reports and humanitarian appeals, ensuring they accurately reflect program achievements and comply with RBM standards. They provide essential support for proposal development and resource mobilization efforts, crafting compelling narratives that align with donor requirements and UNICEF's strategic objectives. The role involves rigorous quality assurance and compliance checks for all written materials, managing timelines effectively to meet submission deadlines. Additionally, the incumbent contributes to public partnership intelligence gathering and relationship management by providing well-articulated content. They collaborate on strategic content development and advocacy initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging. Furthermore, the Reporting Officer is expected to contribute to capacity building and knowledge sharing within the country office regarding reporting and proposal writing best practices.



Education:
A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in international relations, Political Science, Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field is required.

Work

experience:
A minimum of two years of professional work experience at the national or international level in proposal writing, donor reporting, resource mobilization, public partnerships, or project management is required.
