What does your job look like?

Your role will be to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications that enhance user experiences while adhering to PALO IT's mission to use technology as a force for good.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Lead the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
  • Ensure optimal app performance, responsiveness, and scalability across various devices.
  • Implement best coding practices, design patterns, and architectural principles such as MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture.
  • Work with Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter, or other relevant technologies based on project needs.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and usability, ensuring smooth user interactions.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance functionality.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into high-quality mobile applications.
  • Ensure security best practices in mobile development, including secure data storage, authentication, and encryption.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to improve performance and maintainability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to enhance development processes.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.

What you need for this role:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in iOS and Android mobile development.
  • Proficiency in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android), with strong expertise in mobile frameworks.
  • Experience in React Native or Flutter is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile architectures (MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture, or MVI).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
  • Experience in managing state management frameworks like Redux, MobX, or Provider.
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience in automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, Jest, Detox, etc.).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
  • Knowledge of Google Play Store and Apple App Store guidelines and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with Firebase, analytics, push notifications, and mobile security practices.
