Business Analyst

Role Overview: The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by understanding, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, document, and validate business requirements.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes and systems, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  3. Elicit, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with business objectives.
  4. Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, QA, and Data teams, to design and document effective solutions.
  5. Create and maintain detailed business requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and workflow diagrams.
  6. Ensure that proposed solutions align with business goals and technical feasibility.
  7. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure seamless communication.
  8. Partner with quality assurance teams to validate that solutions meet defined business requirements.
  9. Participate in system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and post-implementation validation.
  10. Assess the impact of proposed changes on business processes and systems, developing change management strategies accordingly.
  11. Support project managers in planning, tracking, and monitoring project activities.
  12. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  13. Provide recommendations for optimizing business processes and system functionalities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on business process analysis and requirements gathering.
  3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
  5. Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
  6. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and experience working in Agile environments.
  7. Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Confluence, or other project management and collaboration software.
  8. Experience in breaking down high-level requirements into detailed tasks, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications in Jira or equivalent tools.
  9. Prior experience in software testing and validation is a plus.
  10. Experience with data analysis, reporting, and working with data teams is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
  2. Experience in financial services or retail industries is beneficial.
  3. Strong understanding of change management principles and best practices.
