Job Description
DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Business & Process Excellence Manager, located in Envigado, Colombia.
The Business & Process Excellence Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence across DePuy Synthes by leading enterprise and functional process improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to identify, analyze, and improve end‑to‑end business processes, enabling higher quality outcomes, improved efficiency, and sustainable performance. The position offers the opportunity to make a visible impact by embedding a culture of continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, analysis, and improvement of core business processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Partner with functional and regional leaders to translate business strategy into process excellence roadmaps and measurable improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to map current‑state processes, identify gaps, and design future‑state solutions.
- Drive standardization of processes, documentation, and performance metrics to improve quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage and track process improvement projects, ensuring delivery against timelines, cost, and benefit targets.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and support data‑driven decisions.
- Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training, to ensure adoption of new processes.
- Coach and mentor team members and business partners on process excellence tools and best practices.
- Ensure all activities align with Johnson & Johnson Credo values, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Required
Experience and Skills
- Typically 8-10 years of progressive experience in business process improvement, operational excellence, quality, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional process improvement initiatives in a complex organization.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze data, develop insights, and translate them into actionable improvement plans.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with measurable business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or a regulated industry.
- Formal certification such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
- Experience supporting global or regional process standardization initiatives.
- Exposure to digital process improvement tools, automation, or analytics platforms.
Other
- Languages: Spanish and English proficiency required.
- Travel: Up to ~20% domestic and/or international travel, as business needs require.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt or Black Belt).
