Bogotá ciudad, Bogotá, Distrito Capital, Colombia Releady Jornada completa $ 104 - $ 118 Por obra

OVERVIEW

Releady is partnering with one of the largest independently owned licensees of the top-selling furniture brand in North America. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in South Carolina, the company operates 38 retail locations and multiple distribution centers across the Southeast, the Inland Northwest, and northern New England, and is executing an aggressive multi-year national growth plan.

This engagement is for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer who will turn the company's data into decisions leadership can act on. The consultant partners with business leaders across retail, supply chain, finance, and customer experience to understand what they are trying to solve, then designs, builds, and delivers the reports, dashboards, and analytical models that answer it. Roughly sixty percent of the work is new development and forty percent is maintenance of existing reporting, weighted toward ad hoc requests in the early months and moving into longer-term project work as the consultant gains command of the environment.

The environment is a Microsoft business intelligence stack running SQL Server 2019 across a hybrid footprint of on-premise infrastructure and Azure, with a full Azure migration planned within approximately the next twelve months. Power BI has been in production for more than a decade. The data warehouse draws from the point-of-sale, delivery, communications, merchandising, and financial planning systems that run the business, and is approximately half documented, so the consultant is expected to build working knowledge of the model through the team and through the data itself.

  • Engagement Type: Independent contractor engagement, approximately 40 hours per week (may include weekend work)
  • Location: Fully remote. Candidates based in Colombia, with regular availability overlapping United States Eastern business hours
  • Compensation: $3,000 - $3,400 USD monthly DOE (Depending On Experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Report and Dashboard Development

  • Design, build, and deliver reporting and dashboards in SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI that answer the questions business partners bring forward.
  • Write and tune the SQL objects the reporting layer depends on, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Build and maintain SQL Server Integration Services packages that move and transform data into the warehouse.

Data Analysis and Business Partnership

  • Advise business partners on how to interpret the data they receive and what it does and does not support.
  • Provide end-user education on business data and contribute analytical findings and best practices back to the team.
  • Develop detailed working knowledge of a partially documented data warehouse so that any request, from a quick query to a large project, can be answered accurately.

Requirements and Project Delivery

  • Translate incoming requests into documented requirements that can be reviewed and confirmed before build begins.
  • Prioritize competing requests across business groups and produce prototypes or mock-ups to validate direction early.
  • Deliver projects end to end, covering scope definition, build, user acceptance testing, and packaging the final product for adoption.

Support and Platform Modernization

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, and provide first-tier support on the analytical services layer.
  • Provide light triage of requests submitted outside standard weekday availability, within the approximately forty-hour weekly scope.
  • Contribute to platform modernization as the environment migrates fully to Azure and the company evaluates Microsoft Fabric and an agentic analytics layer over the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of relevant business intelligence or technical experience, with demonstrated ownership of reporting delivered to business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including report authoring and web portal security administration.
  • Hands-on Power BI development experience in a production environment, not exposure alone.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and hands-on SQL Server Integration Services development.
  • Strong command of SQL fundamentals, specifically tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience in a hybrid on-premise and Azure environment, or through a cloud migration, is preferred.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, agentic or AI-driven analytics platforms, and AI coding assistants such as Copilot is not required but is viewed very favorably.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal English communication, including the ability to present findings and explain data to non-technical audiences.
