Centurion Restaurant Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide accounting and analytical support to the Accounting/Finance department. Prepare monthly general journal entries, schedules and provided analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.

Job Description:

  • Prepare monthly general journal entries and provide accounting and analytical support to Management during the month end close process.
  • Assisting in month end reporting and closing.
  • Recording accurately invoices and other accounting transactions into Netsuite.
  • Collecting and documenting approvals based on internal policies and procedures.
  • Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expenses, receipts, accounts payable).
  • Reconciling multiple bank accounts.
  • Preparing and maintaining various reconciliation spreadsheets.
  • Prepare schedules and analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Work with Managing Partners and Operations as needed to correct accruals.
  • Prepare BS account reconciliations such as prepaid and accruals, unearned revenue for revenue accounting.
  • Support management with special projects such as the documentation of departmental policies, procedures and controls.
  • Perform other job related functions as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field of study or any equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

Experience:

4 years' experience in accounting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have strong analytical skills, good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook. Experience with Netsuite a plus.
  • Organizational skills are necessary due to the nature of compiling and retaining detailed information for audits.
  • Ability to work extra hours during month end close and as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and work with new systems.
  • Ability to work in collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing business demands and project requests.
