Job Description

The Team and Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Azure Security Architect & Engineer to join our Cyber Security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions within our Azure environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure and will work closely with other IT professionals to deliver secure and scalable solutions. Job Responsibilities

Design and Architecture

  1. Develop and maintain the security architecture for our Azure environment in alignment with the Azure Well Architected Framework.
  2. Design and implement secure cloud solutions based on best practices and compliance requirements.
  3. Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.

Implementation

  1. Configure and manage security features in Azure, including network security, identity and access management, internet-facing firewall, and data protection.
  2. Configure and manage security of Infrastructure as Code, Virtualization, Azure Policies, PowerApps, LogicApps, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Databases, AADDS, Copilot Studio, Azure API's, etc.
  3. Deploy security monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
  4. Implement automated security controls and compliance policies.
  5. Implement Azure Policies to ensure compliance and governance across the cloud environment.
  6. Monitor Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) for continuous security posture assessment.
  7. Drive timely remediation of misconfigurations and security vulnerabilities with stakeholders.
  8. Ensure secure configuration and management of cloud resources across multiple subscriptions.
  9. Utilize cloud-native security tools and services for threat detection and response.
  10. Conduct regular reviews and assessments of cloud security policies and configurations.

Management and Maintenance

  1. Regularly review and update security policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  3. Monitor security events and respond to incidents in conjunction with the Security Operations team.
  4. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for cloud security.
  5. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging cloud security threats and technologies.

Collaboration and Support

  1. Work closely with other teams to ensure alignment of security strategies.
  2. Provide guidance and support to development and operations teams on security best practices.
  3. Foster a culture of security awareness and compliance within the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  1. Certifications in Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500) and Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) are mandatory.
  2. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  3. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 3 years on Azure.
  4. Strong understanding of Azure security services and features.
  5. Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  6. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Proficient in English – Level C1 or higher is required. To be considered for this position please submit your resume in English.

  1. Microsoft Certified: SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
  2. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  3. Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
  4. Certified Cloud Security Engineer (C|CSE)
