We are looking for a Semi-Senior Firmware QA Tester to join our team in Colombia and work on an innovative project in the pet tech industry.

Who are we looking for?

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Analyst, preferably in testing consumer electronics or IoT devices.
  • Understanding of hardware and software interactions in IoT devices.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team environment.
  • Knowledge of bug tracking systems and testing methodologies.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting languages.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive firmware testing for functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for firmware components.
  • Identify and report software defects, collaborating closely with developers for resolution.
  • Perform regression testing and verify bug fixes and feature implementations.
  • Collaborate with firmware developers to understand product requirements.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality.
  • Conduct performance testing to assess scalability and responsiveness, addressing bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases and testing reports.
  • Capability in endtoend testing of IoT ecosystems, including devices, gateways, and cloud services, and testing integration with various platforms and mobile apps.
