Intrado is currently seeking an Incident Command System (ICS) team member.

The focus for this position is primarily around leadership and direction during incidents, providing a calm direction in chaotic and tense situations.

Maintaining an overall incident perspective to ensure the 911 Incident Command System (ICS) processes are properly followed while adhering to corporate and department policies and procedures.


SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

  • Lead incident team resources in the development and execution of restoration plans for system issues and outages during assigned shift from incident initiation through closure, bringing in additional resources and managing handoffs to team members as needed.
  • Ensure incident activities are properly documented.
  • Work with extended incident team to improve incident management processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Make sensitive customer impacting decisions based on available information.
  • Ensure appropriate notification and communications is established and maintained when events affecting production occur.
  • Analytical skills communications while finessing technical information to individuals lacking technical aptitude.
  • Must have attentiontodetail, multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible with a 24hr work environment shift availability and open to work on a rotating schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in project management, management, or matrix-management preferably in a technical environment (e.g., Application support, Systems, Administration, Data Center, Network Engineering) preferred

1 year Incident Management experience or 1 year Incident Command preferred

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Basic understanding of network topology in a TCP/IP, asynchronous, and synchronous environment preferred
  • Knowledge of telephony networks (e.g., SS7, SIP, ISDN, wireless 911, PSAP connectivity, network topology, etc.) preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
ServiceNow Ticketing System required

Emergency Alert System preferred (such as Everbridge, AlertMedia, etc

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, IT, statistics or a related field preferred

  • ITIL Certification 3.0 or above preferred
