Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • In the dynamic business environment, as Specialist of Inventory accounting area within the team, the main focus of this role is to support Inventory accounting data for adidas LAM is reported in a timely and accurately manner, and meets the requirements set within the adidas Group policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support MEC analysis and understand general process to back up the process in case it is needed.
  • Support the reconciliation and investigate and resolve discrepancies for Inventory GL accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Monitoring of systems interfaces, review and explain variations in regarding of Inventory in the different IT systems (e.g. SAP, RBO, etc).
  • Support the successful execution of all accounting activities for Inventory topics, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with Global Financial Shared Services and other teams on ad hoc Inventory Accounting projects as required.
  • Support to attend queries from internal departments in relation to Inventory Accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain control on insurance policies, amortization and renewals. Be support on claims and resolutions providing broker the proper documentation and requested details.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests.
  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.

  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to deal with ambiguity in an everchanging environment while maintaining a positive attitude and working collaboratively within the team.
  • Must be deadline driven, resultsoriented, highly responsible and accountable, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be extremely proactive, have strong initiative and be selfmotivated. High integrity, ethics and strong values; excellent organizational skills, detailorientation, and a high degree of accuracy are all essential.
  • Good problemsolving skills; strong decisionmaking skills; innovative use of IT tools and new technology; and good time management and priority setting skills required.
  • Must have strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Intermediate level in written & spoken English.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS-Office).
  • SAP experience preferred.
