DESCRIPTION:

The AP Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the accounting department.

The daily activities of this role include:
Accurately processing invoices for payment in accounting software. Reconciling charges to contract terms. Obtaining invoice approvals. Working with the AP Supervisor to ensure the timely payment of all invoices. This position will interact with all levels of the organization in connection with correct expense recording and invoice approvals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review and process invoices for payment.
  • Process information accurately into accounting software.
  • Obtain required approvals for payment processing.
  • Reconcile charges to agreements and contract terms.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with Catalyst's accounting and internal control policies and procedures.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Maintain AP files and documentation in accordance with Catalyst policies.
  • Provide support as requested during quarterly and annual reviews and internal control audits.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or a similar field from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains software or similar ERP system is required.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities with mínimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Teamoriented, selfmotivated, and energetic.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and outside parties.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of data and information.
  • Officebased position.
