HR Generalists Intern in this role get to:
Shape workplace culture: Present and model HR philosophy and policies
Be the expert: Provide policy interpretation guidance to employees
Strengthen relationships: Resolve employee relations issues timely through appropriate coaching and counseling
Keep Sutherland aligned: Resolve issues with employees in regards to adherence with company policies and procedures
Set the path to success: Assist with the planning, preparation, hosting and administration of regularly scheduled required Employee Orientations
Support the team: Assist in documenting personnel actions and provide information to payroll
Improve workplace efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency
Our most successful candidates will have:
- Knowledge of human resource functions, business management and strategy, workforce planning and employment, benefits, employee relations, and risk management
- Ability to work in MS Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate in a clear, constructive, and professional manner
- Ability to be pro-active in developing trust and professional rapport with employees and team members; able to be a team-player
