Our Bogota office is looking for a
Transportation Planner.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Supporting transport planning studies at different scales, including economic appraisal components in studies that need it. Potential projects include mobility master plans, transport analysis and data analytics, urban mobility and sustainability research, ZEV projects, strategic transport planning, among others
  • Supporting and coordinating the preparation of proposals for multilateral banks, and the public and private sectors in Colombia related to transport planning and policy projects
  • Working in partnership with other teams supporting large infrastructure projects where transport is a needed component
  • Assisting with diverse tasks in small, medium, and large complex longterm projects working with many different people/facilities/resources, etc. within tight time and budget constraints
  • Conducting research and analysis both for project formulation and development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer or Economics
  • You must have either a:
  • Master's degree in Transport Planning, Transportation, Sustainable Transport, Transport Systems, Transportation and urban systems, Sustainable mobility management, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of specific experience in transport planning and economic appraisals of transport projects with relevant project experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a must
  • Excellent level of written, verbal, presentation, and communications skills both in English and Spanish is essential; in particular, solid written skills are fundamental
  • Knowledge of regional Colombian transport planning practices, economic appraisal methodology, as well as international practices in these areas.
  • Knowledge and experience in public transport projects is desirable
  • Good command and experience with digital tools including AutoCad, ArcGis, VISUM, VISSIM, Access. Experience with programming and Power Bi are a plus.
  • Interest in supporting/project coordination and ability to coordinate administrative activities
  • Strong teamwork capabilities, outstanding sense of responsibility, achievement and autonomy
